i2 FAST attains UKAS Accreditation on Gluten testing

We are delighted to inform you that after setting up our Allergen Laboratory in April of 2021, and undergoing validation, we have successfully attained UKAS Accreditation on Gluten testing, with Flexible Scope granted.

This is a fantastic achievement, and the flexible scope granting on day 1 of a new testing line is testament to the technical expertise available for this analysis.

Through the granting of accreditation, and work already undertaken via our flexible scope, we are able to immediately offer the following on Foods, Swabs and Rinse Waters:

• Gluten (R5 Mendez) - UKAS

• Casein – UKAS (FS)

• Beta Lactoglobulin – UKAS (FS)

• Egg – UKAS (FS)

All changes have been made internally, with the newly created internal tests now superseding the sub-contract analysis, giving us complete control over the analysis. The sub-contract analysis tests have been maintained on your quotations, allowing use in the future if required.

Moving forward, and through flexible scope validation, we will be adding to our list of UKAS accredited allergens based on the requirements of you, our customers.
